Historically, God’s chosen people blended the worship of Yahweh and the worship of Ba’al, abandoning the true and living God. We serve a God who desires every part of who we are. Do we consider the past miracles that our Lord has performed in our lives? Do we think about the promises that Jesus made to us while rejecting fear and doubt that can attack our minds? Do we have faith in the fact that His word is true? In this message, Pastor Jason Bolin reminds us that we must have the faith to believe that God can empower, deliver and provide for us, no matter what the storm!
In the scripture, Christ often uses the dinner table to bring family together to minister to each other. In this message, Pastor Jason Bolin uses the 15th chapter of Luke to explicate the sinful and lost state of the prodigal son, who was able to find recovery though God’s forgiving love. This is a powerful picture of the communion and unity that God desires. No matter what state, the prodigal sinner finds himself, Jesus Christ will receive him upon repentance. Just as the prodigal son’s family, we are to throw a party, welcoming the repentant sinner back home. There is room at the table for all of us!
